Battlefield 6, Day 1 Oct 10 2025

My rating 8.5

Day 1

Around noon CST I got up and looked on the internet to see if the game was launched in time, seems a huge queue was going on. I had pre downloaded a few days early and then on Oct 9 Xbox had a new patch for it. Upon logging in I saw a queue of like 3200 but was loaded in a few seconds later. I had no major bugs or performance issues at all, only thing was when browsing custom games a error message would pop up instead of the game info, not a big deal could be many reasons for it.

1. Small download, 43.1 gigabytes on Xbox Series S full phantom version.
2. Campaign is typical BF 3-4 style, you play different roles assault, engineer etc. with a story, Im four missions in, a fan of these type of small campaign's. A method of teaching you the game really.
3. Multiplayer, played Conquest and Assault, need to rank up characters for perks and weapons for more good stuff, typical. The environment blowing up is very sick and more realistic than past games, blow holes in walls or destroy entire buildings etc.. Solid even though I am not a very good player on BF Online yet, just continue playing matches to get xp and perform better,
4. Graphics are decent not super next gen or anything, I am running lower res textures but game does have higher res as optional download in game management. Playing on Series S is perfect.

Best thing so far? The destructive environment is very good to me, helps remove camping.

This is seems to be on par with BF4 overall, but is a bit better due to the environmental damage. A nice step up with some new game modes added, maps I played are decent sized, played about 5 matches so far and only assault class with no perks really.

Rating 1-10, BF6 rating 8.5 in my opinion BF4 rated 8.0 to me. Battlefield games are a side casual game I play every so often, this one does it better so maybe Ill play it more.

A GREAT NEW UPDATE TO BATTLEFIELD!

Classes I played so far on Conquest mode. drove a tank and four wheeler once, will get into vehicles later learning classes better for now. I did play campaign up the the fourth mission which might be the last one.

Assault, pretty much get wasted super quick but each match improved with positioning and kills, Need practice with the ladder thing could not use it because if you stop you get popped and it takes practice on the placement. The stim feature not sure how this is even helping me, would use when I knew a few enemies in front of me and about to take them out. Think I had a triple kill in this manner but in city maps seeing enemies is tough when it comes to them being marked befor

Support, revived people but it was harder than expected to see people who needed revived, plus many would just quick death and not wait when I was close. They make an audible yell and have a circular icon but its a mess on screen to see at first. Dropped ammo near objectives, the cover structure was not too useful yet because noob.

Recon, this was my favorite because I am naturally a recon type of player watching the environment, marked enemies non stop, painted tanks, setup sensors, sniped a few. The sniper has 6x view you start with so you cant snipe too far it was not easy. I died maybe 2-3 times a match and noticed we won every match I played recon on. The sensor gadget placement was not optimal so need improvement there, plus trying the throwable sensor next few matches that takes place of grenade.

Engineer, did not play yet except for the campaign.

A weird side effect of playing BF6 is I wanted to play BF4 BF1 more, I have those on my xbox too. I just never gave Battlefield much time due to how competitive it was and you start with not as many tools as seasoned players. I did play BF4 today and man it was even more fun than I remember due to me being more into the classes and figuring them out.

I played BF 1 earlier this week and its so dang good, the old style guns sound so damn amazing. My first BF was 3 on PC and like most I just played a little bit of campaign and then some multiplayer, the feeling was the game is amazing but didn't feel like improving at it back then, I did however play the campaign all through and it was prob the best.

This is very typical for me to try a new game then if I really like it play the older versions, many times liking the early versions more. No joke but BF4 vs BF6 is seriously close. Still haven't had a BF6 match online in NYC, think its due to my rank maybe soon or another mode, sticking to conquest for now mainly.

Read about BF 2042 being very unpopular, I saw it had a massive download size which generally bothers me already. Anyway after reading more about that version am pretty sure I will try it out soon too, I actually like huge maps and its full of them. Many people seemed to ba mad at having more class options or variants, not me. On xbox the reviews are negative even though as usual lack real info but instead some lame attempts at comedy.

I think my rating for both BF4 and 6 are going up, so happy to like another game. I am mainly a The Division 2 player, check out my favorite games post.

Mission 5 ‘No Sleep’

Finally seeing NYC Brooklyn heights, its about time been wanting to play in NYC since I am a big The Division player.
There are 9 missions in the campaign with unlocks, cards, skins, and maybe more?
Missed many collectables so will go back for them later.
This game has so much locked up behind challenges and stuff, really wish they were just rank based and not grinds.
Oh did I mention I love BF6?
Hit rank 11 last night, unlocked the recon drone for multiplayer, got to try it out later.
Weird thing but when I play this again wanting to play BF4 and 1 too, what is with this?
The portal feature looks so damn good, thinking of trying it out.
On BF4 there is a mode allowing you to play test all the weapons, vehicles, and stuff. Not seeing on BF6, just a plain shooting range?

Fun tip go to Community > Search Experiences > Browse Servers. Many have bots so its players vs bots or other stuff like learning to fly. A note this does seem to be very unstable, I lose connection often because of how its setup.
