Multiple Platforms The Division 2 - Fast Method To Earn Expertise

Using un proficient gear to level up expertise as a build, ‘Un Proficient Build’.

Updated easier to read to the point, currently at Expertise 27.

The method!

1. Each gear, weapon, specialization, skill slot equip a un proficient item for maximum results,
2. Un proficient gear is gear that has a proficiency rank of 0 - 9, once 9 is maxed its then proficient.
3. Do not use the same brand/set item in multiple slots.
4. If you have plenty of gear try to maximize and build something decent,
5. Your performance will vary, but expect it to be lower most of the time.
6. Lower difficulty to Hard and do open world, missions, easier content.
7. The process of killing enemies increases expertise points with un proficient stuff equipped.
8. Once item has become proficient replace with another un proficient one.
9. Cheat mode, use one item of your choice recommend weapon or skill with expertise added to help,
10. Note named items have a separate proficiency rank from set/brand, like chill out mask.
11. When item is proficient a shield icon appears.

Using this method can aid in raising your expertise level when resources are low. We do this long grind to add expertise to our weapons and skills to increase their weapon damage or various skill effects, gear expertise just adds more armor if it has a blue core. Adding expertise level to your stuff is a whole separate resource grind, the bottleneck being exotic components as you need more for each higher rank above expertise level 12.

Other expertise methods.

1. Loot Goblin, farm named/any gear that is un proficient, junk and donate.
2. Buy multiple named/any un proficient gear from vendors, junk and donate.
3. Research various un proficient gear in expertise menu using resource materials recommend printer filament.

Note when donating any junk it must be un proficient to increase expertise, otherwise it will still be in your bag as junk because it had no value for expertise. So just donating random junk doesn't increase expertise.
